I've been building mobile apps for years and I still like it more than anything else I do. What I've got good at is the part that only shows up later, when an app has to keep changing and the early shortcuts start slowing everything down. Same story when dozens of them share one core, just louder. Mostly React Native and Expo, some web too.
The other half is making them earn. A paywall can be tuned, but most of the result is decided earlier, in the product itself, how easily it spreads, and what people will actually pay for. I work at both ends of that. With Mapotic I do that whole span, architecture through to monetization, on subscription apps for clients like OCEARCH.
